The answer is YES, you can!
The answer is YES, you can!
This is a rooster.
He is supposed to fly to a fencepost, stretch his neck and tell the world that he exists. He is purposeful, protective, beautiful-- even majestic.

Wouldn't it be a shame if the rooster flew up to his perch, looked at the eagle soaring above, and determined he should not stretch and crow because he has neither the wing span nor body type to do what the eagle does?
"Oh sure, life is great for you up there looking down on the rest of us, mighty predator with vice grip claws and beak. Must be nice to get a full meal in one fell swoop! I have to scratch around down here all day searching, pecking... and meanwhile the hens nag me to death! I am confined to the ground and the low roosts while you're sailing around in complete freedom and splendor."
Ridiculous!
Because chickens are witless, they do not engage in this kind of self-defeating behavior. They leave that foolishness to thinking human beings who cannot help themselves...or can we? |

He forages for his food. Woe to the vine or branch that stands between him and his breakfast.
He works hard with what he has and is successful. He would not gain anything by wishing he were different. He would not gain anything by trying to be something he is not. He works with what God has given him in order to be successful. If you will work with what God has given you, you can be successful, too!
